Joanne Grady
President and CEO

Joanne Grady founded Abbott in 1985. Providing leadership and support to her team of experienced staffing professionals and leveraging her own years spent as an human resource specialist, Grady has worked tirelessly for nearly two decades to shape Abbott into one of the most revered and distinguished staffing consulting firms in Boston.
Prior to founding Abbott, Grady spent 4 years as a Director of a local personnel placement service. Before that, Grady spent 17 years working for two large corporations in Boston in administrative and human resource roles.
In addition to leading Abbott, Grady has donated her time and talent to several philanthropic efforts. She has led fund raising activities for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, New England Home for Little Wanderers, Shelter, Inc. and Crossroads for Kids to name a few. Currently, she serves on several boards and advisory committees.
She holds a Bachelors of Science in Organizational Behavior from Lesley College, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Pam Roe
Vice President

Pam is currently serving as a senior vice president at Abbott. In this role, Ms. Roe evaluates job-seekers, places them appropriately and encourages them do their research and be enthusiastic!
Ms. Roe joined Abbott in 1991 as a receptionist. Soon there after, she became a director of Abbott’s temporary personnel division. Ms. Roe transitioned into the permanent personnel division where she remains today, placing job-seekers most appropriately in full-time positions.
She holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Maine.

Corinne Robinson

Corinne joined Abbott in 1999. She currently works to ensure quality placements within companies seeking permanent personnel. In this role, Ms. Robinson evaluates job-seekers, places them appropriately and encourages them to know their strengths and seize opportunities where they can best utilize them.
Prior to her position at Abbott, she served 11 years as the human resource manager for Advent International, a leading private equity firm.
Ms. Robinson holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Babson College and a Bachelors degree from Bentley College.

Laurie Smith Weisberg
Director of Staffing

A 25-year veteran of the staffing industry, Laurie joined Abbott as a senior staffing consultant in 2001. Within the permanent staffing division, she is responsible for the placement with clients seeking permanent personnel.
In offering advice to job seekers, Ms. Weisberg would encourage them to seek their passions as the success will soon follow. She urges that it is important to be on time, make eye contact, smile, be honest, always listen, ask questions, be positive, say ‘thank you’ and do your homework.
Prior to working at Abbott, Ms. Weisberg was a high school teacher in both Minnesota and Boston. Ms. Weisberg is currently on the Foundation Board at Whittier Street Health Center in Roxbury, Ma. She received a Bachelors degree in Education from Mankato State University of Mankato, MN.

Matthew Lanuto
Director of Business Development

Matthew Lanuto currently serves as the Director of Business Development at Abbott. He also heads up the temporary personnel services, serving as the main point of contact and working directly with clients to find ideal candidates for each specific role. He has proven to successfully fulfill the demands of both clients and candidates alike.
Matthew found his home at Abbott in 2008 after spending a year working in finance in the Boston area. Outside of Abbott, Matthew is currently the Head of Development for GOTO (Giving Opportunities to Others), a Boston-based nonprofit organization. He is a 2007 graduate of Tufts University where he played lacrosse and football and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.
